One Great Journey

After weeks of planning and preparing, we arrived safely in Thailand late last night. The sights, sounds, and smells are familiar to some of the team and brand new for others. For me, Thailand has officially become my most-visited country. I realized that I have been here at least once every year for the past 5 years.

As all the preparations finished – moving out of my apartment, putting my stuff in storage, managing bills and finances – the excitement began to build for this project. We spent a few days together as a team in Georgia before we left and it feels like an all-star team. Almost every one of the people on the team has led mission teams at some point in the past and everyone who hasn’t is full of creativity, fresh ideas, and initiative.

More details will begin to unfold in these first few weeks. To stay updated please follow us on Twitter and Instagram by searching for @onegreatjourney. We love posting pictures! Tonight we fly from Bangkok to Chang Mai. We will spend a few days with some local contacts getting context for the culture ands needs of the people before we travel to Mae Sot and settle in to our apartments.

Pray for us! Some people are getting over sinus infections and the flu. Pray for us as we seek the direction the Spirit is leading us with our ministry. We want to start off with a bang!
