Hitting the Last Gear

Life is moving so fast right now. Blazing fast. Every minute of every day is full. We’re tired and we’re hitting our final gear. Our grand opening for Famous Ray’s Bicycle Shop is this Friday! We’ve planned a huge 3-day celebration and invited all of Mae Sot to join us.

In the last couple of weeks we’ve finished prepping our inventory, purchased parts and accessories to sell, installed our custom service counter and hanging bike racks, advertised with signs, banners, and flyers, hired a new employee, opened a bank account, and even created a website for the shop. Check it out if you haven’t already… Famous Ray’s Bicycle Shop. On the website, you can view our entire inventory of bikes, read about our services, and our youth training and discipleship programs we’re starting with local street kids. You can even support our efforts… we still need $10,500 to reach our fundraising goal of $21,000.

That’s right people, we’re trying to be good stewards. While we’ve done so much already, the remaining funds help us start our ministry with kids and keep the business afloat until we turn a profit. Once the business gets up and running, the profits will fund the ministry.

We can’t wait to get started… literally. There is already one young teenage boy that we want to help. He will be the first of many and they are waiting for love, hope, and opportunity. Please consider supporting Bikes 4 Burma so we can start immediately and secure the foundation of this business and kickstart our programs! Donate Here!

Here’s some fun info about our grand opening.
